Understanding incontinence

Incontinence is the accidental or involuntary loss of bladder or bowel control. It can affect people of any age, gender or life stage.

It may be temporary or ongoing, and can affect daily activities, work, exercise, sleep, relationships and confidence. Causes vary widely, but symptoms can often be improved or managed with the right support, treatment and lifestyle strategies.

Australian statistics – Continence Health Australia: Around 1 in 4 Australians aged 15 years and over experience bladder or bowel control problems. Incontinence affects more than 5 million Australians and is more common in women but also affects many men.

About the Embella Chair

The Embella Chair offers a non-invasive pelvic floor treatment. It utilises high-intensity focused magnetic resonance technology to repeatedly work the pelvic floor muscles, thereby strengthening overall muscle control, which is essential for urinary / faecal control and sexual function.

How it works

Although this video describes the Emsella chair it is the same mechanism of action for the Embella chair.

Sessions

For new clients we require a Registered Nurse consultation beforehand.

A course of treatment requires 6 sessions, with each session taking 30 minutes, scheduled twice a week.

Some people may find they require a maintenance treatment at a later date.
